Meredith Black is a highly committed and accomplished cable industry executive with Suddenlink Communications. She has been with Suddenlink since 2009, serving as the Director of Customer Care since 2010. In this management capacity, Meredith develops and implements operational strategies to deliver best in class customer service, oversees a team of over 50 employees, and provides leadership throughout the organization to achieve superior customer experience and business performance. She also leads the analytical and administrative support for a call center with over 200 employees. Meredith previously served as the Director of Sales Strategy for Suddenlink’s largest call center which employed a staff of nearly 1,000. She developed call center sales channel budgets and goals, and developed sales strategies and commission plans that significantly increased sales performance.
Previously Meredith was with Comcast for over 10 years with its New England and New Jersey operations. She held professional and management positions of increasing responsibility in sales, retention, marketing and operations. She developed and implemented award winning retention and loyalty programs and strategies. She successfully led cross functional teams for brand changes, new product launches and other significant operational events such as the launch of Comcast’s first all-digital market. She was also on a panel of retention experts at NCTA’s 2005 National Show. Before entering the cable industry, Meredith was in the financial services and advertising industries in professional and consulting capacities.
Meredith is an active member of the WICT Greater Texas Chapter, serving on the 2014 board as Co-Chair for Programming. She was a Mentor in WICT Greater Texas Chapter’s 2012/2013 Inspire Mentor Program. Meredith has previously been a member of the Board of Directors of CTAM’s New York Chapter. She is an alumnus of Bentley University (Waltham MA) which conferred an MBA in Marketing, and an alumnus of Framingham State University (Framingham MA) which conferred a BA in Sociology/Business. Meredith resides in Tyler Texas with her husband and their son.
