Miranda Hafford

Miranda is a Director in the Global Rights department at A+E Networks, overseeing the Rights-In team and processes. In her role, she manages the ingest process of legal deliverables for commissioned and acquired programs into the network’s rights management systems which allows for safe and legal travel, accurate avails, and re-use of programming. She also provides risk assessments and ongoing education for complex agreements ranging from the distribution level to third party elements. Miranda strives to drive new processes and discover efficiencies for digital and re-use rights management to support growing revenue streams within the television and intellectual property businesses. Lastly, she collaborates with various internal stakeholders and technology partners to improve performance and solutions surrounding rights management workflows and systems.

Prior to joining A+E in 2019, Miranda was the Director of Global Rights handling the Global Coca-Cola account at McCann NY. In this role, she was responsible for driving all aspects of the Coca-Cola Global Rights Management business including strategy, customer management, and business development, as well as managing a team of business managers and financial coordinators. The team negotiated usage rights, synthesized and curated all legal and production deliverables, coordinated asset delivery, and facilitated payment for Coca-Cola’s advertising materials. Earlier in her career, Miranda was an artist manager at a music management company where she handled day-to-day responsibilities for their clients.

Miranda has her BA in Mass Communication and Political Science with a History minor from the University of Delaware, where she was also the Program Director and produced two shows at STN49 (Student Television Network) and hosted a weekly music program on 91.3 FM. Outside of work, Miranda enjoys distance running, binge-watching documentaries, and training her Covid-19 puppy.
