Nancy Rich

Nancy Rich currently serves as a manager in Legal Affairs at Scripps Networks Interactive. In this position, she is responsible for providing legal support to the company and all of its brands (Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, DIY Network, and GAC) in a variety of areas, including marketing, production, talent, and internal operations. Specific tasks include communicating timelines and contract details to clients, streamlining processes, and training new hires to ensure continued success of the department. Prior to her manager position, she served as legal coordinator and legal assistant.

Nancy has been at Scripps Networks for seven years, where she’s been an active member of the company’s annual internal United Way Campaign committee and has served as an officer of the Employee Action Committee.  Nancy is a mentee in the WICT Southeast Peer2Peer Mentoring Program and served as a committee member for the NAMIC – TN and WICT Southeast Mini Cable Boot Camp last year. She was awarded a Chairman’s Award in 2011 due to her outstanding accomplishments.

As a working mother, Nancy is passionate about maintaining a work/life balance.  She is always looking for new ways to simplify and streamline her schedule, and she advocates for telecommuting and flexible work schedules.  To further this endeavor, she has started a peer support group at Scripps to maintain the group’s professional and personal growth in regards to living a balanced life. Nancy encourages others to disconnect from the pressures of work and recognize the need for time off in this increasingly demanding professional world.

Nancy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and holds a bachelor’s degree in English.  She lives in Knoxville with her husband Jason and their two daughters, Kate and Stella.
