As Manager of Corporate Communications at CMT, Natasha Powell is charged with publicity efforts for network initiatives, original programming and on-air talent.
Powell leads publicity efforts for the network’s highest-rated new series, BAYOU BILLIONAIRES, and other original series SOUTHERN NIGHTS, SWEET HOME ALABAMA, INVITATION ONLY, SINGING BEE, CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and CMT INSIDER. In addition, she oversees promotion of the network’s national call to volunteerism, CMT ONE COUNTRY, where she works closely with non-profit partners to leverage media partnerships and increase awareness of the network’s public affairs efforts. In addition, Powell manages ongoing communications efforts for CMT Radio Network, including the 2009 launch of the nationally syndicated radio broadcast CMT RADIO LIVE WITH CODY ALAN, which now reaches more than 130 affiliates nationwide.
Powell joined CMT in 2003 as an assistant in the Program Development and Production department where she assisted in the day to day scheduling of several high level network executives. Prior to joining CMT, Natasha worked at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
Natasha graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Public Relations. In her free time, she enjoys volunteer work with Big Brothers & Big Sisters and Hands On Nashville, has held leadership roles with the Tennessee chapter of National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and is an active member of WICT.
