Paula Wagner

Paula Wagner is a 20 year television veteran, who joined Turner Broadcasting in June of 1990 working in CNN Operations. Paula became Operation Manager of CNN International in 1991 overseeing all aspects of the technical operation of the department. She led a staff of 65 technical people who worked in the Control Rooms, Studios, and Master Controls of CNN International. 

Paula’s experience includes leading multimillion-dollar cutting edge technology projects.  These projects include technology research and development, business planning and development, financial analysis, and process engineering.  She has worked closely with senior management concerning vendor contracts, business metrics analysis, and capital and operating forecasting. In her current role at Turner Studios, Paula works with executive management with technology, strategy, and planning.

Paula Wagner received her undergraduate education at Purdue University and her Masters of Business Administration at Mercer University.  In addition to her academic credentials she has earned her Project Management Professional certificate from the Project Management Institute.  This certificate is the profession’s most globally recognized and respected credential.

Wagner is an active member of WICT since 2004.  She has held positions on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of WICT as Treasurer in 2007, Director of Outreach in 2008, Vice President in 2009, President 2010, and Immediate Past President in 2011.

Paula is also a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications, Society of Motion Pictures & Television Engineers, Women in Technology, and Project Management Institute.  She is also actively involved in her company’s internal organizations including Turner Women Today, the KEYS program (on the original program development team), and Turner Parents Board.
