Ramona Marchand

Ramona Marchand is a savvy, PHR certified, Human Resources (HR) professional of 21 years, possessing a wealth of solid HR leadership experience, employee relations, and is well versed in all facets of HR.  She possesses strong motivation, knowledge and business acumen to excel in the HR management field, having led teams through change and organizational transformations, and produced results beyond expectations.  She is highly respected by organizational leadership and the workforce at large within the telecommunications, healthcare, banking and insurance industries. 

 

Ramona is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a graduate of Cappella University of Minneapolis, Minnesota where she majored in Human Resources Management and has obtained both her Bachelor (graduating Summa Cum Laude) and her Master’s Degree in HR (with honors – 4.0 GPA).  Ramona has recently relocated to Tyler, and is currently the MidSouth Regional HR Manager for Suddenlink Communications. 

 

Ramona is a current member of the Greater Baton Rouge SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management), Acadiana SHRM, and National SHRM.  Ramona’s passion for Human Resources, belief in servitude leadership and commitment to employee and leadership development has been the foundation of her leadership career. Her servitude leadership philosophies transcend also into her personal life.  She feels a strong commitment to give back to future HR leaders and the communities in which he has worked and lived.  These efforts are channeled through volunteerism at various community events, and serving on the Board of Directors for various non-profits such as Cities of Refuge, which focuses on providing positive outcomes for displaced and hurting people, and New Venture Theatre, that provides performing arts education and create a unique, challenging, and bold theatrical experience that is engaging, artistically excellent and infused with diversity; as local, corporate and church leadership positions.
