Rasheema Forbes

Rasheema Forbes is a dynamic and proven broadcast and media solutions leader who is well-versed in the complex layers within the cutting-edge technology for television production, broadcast, and distribution.  Throughout her career, Ms. Forbes has led the management of large-scale projects; from delegating tasks to colleagues at all levels, to diving in to propose, test, and negotiate the applications in support of successful outcomes.

She has over 20 years of management experience and has worked directly with on-set talent and crew, as well as cross functionally with other teams such as marketing, ad sales, programming and broadcast operations professionals and vendors.  In her current role as Senior Manager, Broadcast and Media Solutions for I.T., Ms. Forbes leads a team focused on improved metadata management, and data transfer between broadcast and digital media management systems.

Ms. Forbes was at the forefront of A+E Networks’ transition to digital asset management for the company’s programming assets.  She led the charge by developing workflows and directing the effort to ingest over 20,000 hours of content into the broadcast servers. Her customer-friendly approach ensures that complex details of system integrations are accessible to all clients. As a result, major system upgrades include optimal change management practices for key company initiatives.

In addition to leading strategic business solutions, Ms. Forbes is active in her community with a focus on gaining access to top notch education for all children from all backgrounds and communities.  She has also volunteered for the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) to help fellow women and marginalized people gain access to the same opportunities she has experienced.

Ms. Forbes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English from Amherst College and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
