Rebecca Rusk Lim

Rebecca Rusk Lim is responsible for Starz Entertainment’s interactive television initiatives and consumer experience. She leads the product strategy for EBIF and tru2way plus user experience design for on-demand services including Starz On Demand and Starz Play.  Rebecca led the Starz team in the first satellite transmission of a tru2way (OCAP) broadcast.

Rebecca was recently honored by itvt for Individual Leadership in ITV.  She was named by CableFax Magazine as one of the Top 50 Women in Technology in 2008 & 2006. She was also honored with the “Woman in Technology” 2005 Award from Rocky Mountain WICT and graduated in Class XIII of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She is the co-chair of the WICT RM Tech It Out Committee.

Rebecca is active in industry groups committed to evolving media including the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Interactive Media Peer Group, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Advanced Media Executive Committee, the CTAM Advanced Cable Solutions Consortium, and the CableLabs ETV User Interface Specification Committee. She has also mentored in the American Film Institute Digital Content Lab.  Additionally, she is a Guest Lecturer at the University of Missouri, School of Journalism, Digital Convergence and is also active in several charity groups

Rebecca has worked for more than 25 years in the media industry, holding senior management positions in cable and broadcast television, interactive television and technology development. She spent more than five years with TCI and AT&T Broadband, where she led content development for the DCT 5000 platform. Rebecca was the Hong Kong bureau chief for Asia Business News (now CNBC Asia) and worked for CNN at its launch.
