Renee Blair

Renee Blair is currently Senior Director of IT Service Management with Viacom, managing a team focused on delivering innovative and high quality managed services to Viacom’s business and technology users.  She is responsible for developing business processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). She also has oversight for measuring service delivery against Key Performance Indicators (KPI), finding ways to improve efficiencies within the Technology space, recommending automated solutions leveraging technologies, and utilizing economies of scale to deliver services at the level our customers demand.

 

Prior to Viacom, Renee held numerous positions at Discovery Communications. With each role came increased responsibility for managed services, resources, budgets, Relationship Management and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance.

 

Renee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington in Seattle and began her career in IT as a Microsoft intern over 20 years ago. She has worked in the IT field as a Developer, Analyst, Program/Project  Manager and in leadership positions for Mathsoft, Neustar, InfoZen, Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), and numerous consulting firms.

 

Giving back to the communities where she lives has always been a priority to Renee. Over the years, she has been a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a volunteer Math tutor at Archbishop Carroll Catholic High School and an avid supporter of various humanitarian causes. She served on the Boards of the Washington, DC Chapter of the University of Washington Alumni Association (UWAA) and St. Mary’s Catholic School. Renee is a member of the Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) at St. Mary’s Catholic School, Horace Mann Elementary School and Washington Latin Public Charter School.

 

As a certified Zumba instructor and licensed Spinning instructor, Renee is passionate about fitness, motivating and inspiring others. She also enjoys skiing, tennis, sailing, reading (celebrating a 25th anniversary this year with her bookclub, The Next Chapter) and traveling. Renee resides in Washington, DC with her husband and three sons.
