Rhonda Taylor

Rhonda Taylor is executive vice president and chief people officer for Cox Communications.  She is responsible for translating business strategy into a talent strategy in support of Cox’s long term strategy and operating plans.  She serves as a thought leader and advisor to the executive team to drive a company culture that has the ability to change and adapt as the business environment and competitive landscape changes.  Her areas of responsibility include talent management and development, organizational development, employee engagement and retention, labor relations, diversity and inclusion, rewards and workforce analytics and human resources technology systems.

Prior to her current role, Taylor was the vice president of people services for Cox Communications in Baton Rouge, LA.   She joined Cox in January 2008 from Citigroup, Inc. where she most recently served as senior vice president of human resources.  She spent most of her career in the financial services industry prior to transitioning to Cox, where she led and directed her division’s transformation efforts.  


Taylor is actively involved in the community fostering student education and development through speaking engagements and serving on boards and other organizations including the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA), the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), the Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Advisory Council and as a former vice president of the Women’s Leadership Council, Missouri Statewide.  In addition, Taylor is an alumna and current active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.


She holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College.  Taylor and her husband, Michael, currently reside in Atlanta, GA.
