Richelle Markanzene

Richelle is a Coordinating Producer II in ESPN’s Universal Coverage Group, responsible for planning and executing Bureau coverage and NBA content.  In this role, Richelle proposes and provides editorial guidance for original NBA content that runs on multiple shows and platforms including SportsCenter.  Additionally, she oversees a group of reporters and producers in the field and manages their television requests and assignments.  As a member of the Universal Coverage Group, Richelle also plays a lead role in planning coverage for all breaking news.

Prior to joining the Content and Coverage group, Richelle served as a Coordinating Producer II in Studio Production in Los Angeles, CA, overseeing three daily studio shows, SportsNation, The Jump, and Jalen & Jacoby.  In this role, she was responsible for all aspects of daily production and long-term planning for the three shows.  Richelle played an integral role in the launch of ESPN’s first daily NBA studio show, The Jump, in February of 2016.

Richelle started her career at ESPN in 2007 in Bristol, CT as an Associate Producer.  She contributed to several shows, including SportsCenter, Outside the Lines, Nascar Now, eventually working as the producer of ESPN’s successful daily morning show, First Take.

Richelle resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband, Peter, and their daughter, Leah.
