Rita joined Comcast in 2016 as the learning and development delivery leader for Comcast University in the West Division. In this role she leads a team of over 100 learning and development professionals in support of the Division’s objectives, including frontline new hire, career training, and leadership development for the 24,000 employees in the West. The big initiative that Rita is most proud of for 2018 is the launch of Leadership Exploration and Development (LEAD) – a comprehensive leadership development approach that is building the management and leadership capabilities of the 3,000+ leaders across the division.
Prior to Comcast, Rita led learning and organization development teams at Booz Allen Hamilton and Qualcomm, where she had the privilege to help build the skills and careers of their respective global workforces. Rita began her career as a US Navy Intelligence Officer and spent the majority of her 7 years of active duty military time leading teams in the development and delivery of specialized training for Navy and Joint audiences, from sailors and soldiers, to senior executives. This is where she found her life-long passion for learning, training and leadership development.
Rita is a graduate of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Rita, her husband, and high-school-age son reside in the Denver area, and they enjoy exploring their new home state of Colorado, skiing, hiking, travel and their three dogs.
