Ron Rizzuto

Dr. Rizzuto is Professor of Finance in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.  His B.S. is in finance from the University of Colorado and his M.B.A. and Ph.D. are in finance and economics from New York University.

Dr. Rizzuto’s specialty teaching and research areas include: capital expenditure analysis, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financial planning, and telecommunication finance.  He has published numerous articles and has conducted numerous seminars in these areas.  Dr. Rizzuto has recently published Managing by the Numbers: A Common Sense Guide to Understanding and Using Your Company’s Financials.  The book was published by Perseus Publishing in partnership with Inc. magazine.  Professor Rizzuto currently teaches a Mergers and Acquisitions Seminar throughout the U.S.  He has received several teaching awards including the University of Denver’s Distinguished Teaching Award and the College of Business’s Cecil Puckett Teaching Award.

Dr. Rizzuto is one of the leading authorities on the economics of telecommunication overbuilds in the U.S.  He has written several articles on this topic as well as a book entitled:  “Costs, Benefits, and Long-Term Sustainability of Municipal Cable Television Overbuilds”.  He is currently working on an update of this book.
