Sandy Howe is Executive Vice President and President, Americas, Technetix Inc, a global leader in advanced technology products, solutions and services for the broadband cable industry. Sandy is responsible for all functions for the US, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean, including sales, customer service, product management, finance, HR, and operations. She partners with the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer to develop product solutions strategies specific to the Americas market with a focus on innovation that will transform broadband networks delivering a better user experience. Sandy is a member of the Core Executive team, helping to drive Technetix global strategic objective to deliver innovative solutions for cable operators worldwide.
Sandy takes a vision and makes it a reality through sound strategy development, persistence and her ‘round-table’ leadership style that brings teams together to deliver results. With almost 25 years’ experience in the global telecommunications, video and media technology markets, she has proven experience in business development and operations as well as leading marketing, sales and business unit teams exceeding company sales and profitability targets. Sandy is a customer advocate, respected as a credible voice in decision-making and known for her strong customer relationships, technical expertise and business acumen. Her counsel is widely sought in the industry.
Sandy’s career in the telecommunications industry began as a sales engineer at Broadband Networks Inc (now Numerex) where she was responsible for system design and sales of fiber optic transmission products for cable TV applications. From there, she rose through the ranks with Cisco (formerly Scientific-Atlanta) ultimately serving as Director of Business Development managing a sales team responsible for $1B in sales.
In 2009 she moved to ARRIS as Senior Vice President, Market Development, focusing on strategic sales initiatives with North American service providers and programmers. Sandy later served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing leading the integration of the ARRIS brand presence during the corporate acquisitions of Motorola Connected Home and Pace plc. Her most recent role at ARRIS was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Products Group where she was responsible for the consumer retail business including product road-map strategy, new product development, engineering, silicon selection and manufacturing, brand development, B2C marketing, customer engagement and P&L performance.
Sandy graduated from Pennsylvania State University. She is a long-time supporter of women and diversity, currently serving on the Executive Board of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) chairing the Chapter Development Committee. She is a board member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Foundation serving as investment advisor on the finance committee and previously served on the Retailer Council Board of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). She is a corporate media spokesperson, frequent speaker at industry conferences worldwide and is the recipient of numerous awards including Multichannel News’ Wonder Woman, CableFAX’ Top Women in Technology, WICT Carolinas Carol A. Hevey Leadership Award and NAMIC Carolinas EPIC in Technology.
