Sara Corcoran

Sara Corcoran is Associate Director, ESPN Multimedia Sales Research. Sara is responsible for the strategic research positioning of ESPN’s multimedia assets to the advertising marketplace. Her responsibilities include providing research support across a variety of properties including the NFL, Fantasy Sports, ESPN3.com, and ESPNU. Sara’s chief objective is to share behavioral insights (such as TV viewership, digital usage, consumer actions, etc.) with ad agencies and clients to help them understand both the media behavior of sports fans and the value of reaching them with effective marketing messages.

Sara has enjoyed spending her entire professional career with ESPN where she started as an Affiliate Sales intern specifically focused on ESPN Broadband (now ESPN3.com) and Interactive Television. In 2003 she took a full-time position as an Analyst with the ESPN Research group where she was responsible for the day-to-day media research needs of several account executives and was focused on such key clients as Taco Bell, Subway, and Nissan.

Sara, a Connecticut native, holds a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University where she was also the goalkeeper and captain of the field hockey team.

Corcoran currently resides in New York City. Outside of work she has been an active member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma’s Team in Training program where she completed two Olympic distance triathlons. Corcoran is also the treasurer and goalkeeper for the New York City Field Hockey team. On a personal note, Sara is looking forward to tying the knot in May of 2011.
