Sara Levine

Sara Levine is a Senior Editor at FoodNetwork.com, a Scripps Networks Interactive digital property. She oversees culinary content across platforms, leads a team of editors, edits numerous freelance food writers, produces shoots, and collaborates closely with the recipe developers and culinary experts in Food Network Kitchen. She also works on the site’s Restaurants section, comprising a growing restaurant listing database, national and local dining guides, and original videos.

Levine’s career at Food Network began in the test kitchen, where she completed an externship after receiving her culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2009. From there, she became an entertainment editor for the website, developing digital content around the network’s biggest shows, including Chopped, Iron Chef and Food Network Star.

Prior to attending culinary school and joining Scripps, Levine was an assistant editor at Washingtonian magazine, where she contributed to a number of sections in print and online (dining being her favorite) and ran the longstanding internship program. She was a founding editor of the magazine’s popular Best Bites blog.

Levine received her bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. She lives in Washington D.C., where she loves frequenting restaurants and putting her own amateur culinary skills to work in her tiny kitchen. An avid traveler, she also enjoys training for and competing in triathlons to balance out her passion for food.
