Sarah Amato

Sarah Amato first joined ESPN in 2010. In her current role as Project Manager for the Technology Operations team, Amato leads company-wide initiatives with direct impact on business function and success.

 

Amato’s focus is on developing and improving process, increasing efficiency, communicating and reducing risks, as well as directing cross-functional teams to deliver high quality, on-time, and on-budget projects.  

 

While at ESPN, Amato’s collaboration and negotiation skills have put her in position to lead many high-profile projects. Amato has worked across various segments on multi-platform applications and video technologies including the ESPN App, Tournament Challenge, WatchESPN and ESPN Bottomline.  She has coordinated multiple teams and delivered the WatchESPN product on numerous platforms including desktop, iOS, Android, Apple TV, tvOS, FireTV, Roku, and Xbox.

 

Prior to joining ESPN, Amato worked in the publishing industry as a Photo Editor for several publications based in New York City. It was during this time that she realized her passion for organization, management, and leadership.

 

When Amato is not overseeing high-profile projects, you can find her chasing her 15-month old son Grady. She is an avid runner having completed 4 marathons, including the Honolulu marathon in 2015, and is currently scoping out her next 26.2 mile challenge.
