Sarah Atkinson

​Sarah Atkinson is a manager at Scripps Networks Interactive, within the Legal and Business Affairs department, where she concentrates her practice in the area of entertainment law.  She is a native of Asheville North Carolina, where she left to pursue her undergraduate at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Upon graduation, she worked at the commercial real estate firm of Long, Ragsdale & Waters as a legal assistant.   Sarah moved to Memphis to pursue her law degree in 2010, where she enrolled at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.  While living in Memphis, she clerked for the family law firm of Rice, Amundsen & Caperton, PLLC, and also clerked in circuit court for the Honorable Robert L. Childers.  Additionally, she was specially licensed by the Tennessee Supreme Court to represent clients in estate and family law issues within the Memphis Area Legal Services, Elder Law Clinic.   After completing her Juris Doctorate, Sarah returned to Knoxville, where she initially clerked for the Honorable Bill Swann in Knox County Circuit Court.  Sarah joined Scripps Networks Interactive in 2014, and negotiates talent, production, and non-disclosure agreements.  She serves as president of the Knoxville alumni chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, and enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
