Sarah Kuban

Sarah Kuban is the Director of Original Programming and Development for the Home Category at Scripps Networks Interactive. Sarah started at Scripps in 2010 as a creative services writer/producer and moved into programming in 2012. As Director of Original Programming and Development for the Home Category, she develops new series for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country. Her programming credits include the incredibly successful Crasher series, Yardcore, America’s Most Desperate Kitchen, American Rehab: Virginia and My Big Family Renovation.  In addition, she has taken the DIY Network Blog Cabin to new heights, breaking all previous on-air and online records. 

 

Sarah started her career working in sports production with ESPN, ABC Sports and NBC Sports before moving into news. She produced at WLEX in Lexington, KY and at WJLA in Washington, D.C.–where she helping facilitate the on-air promotional launch of POLITICO and earned an Emmy Award. She has produced several documentaries in East Africa and is currently producing a documentary on the Rwandan genocide. 

 

She is a graduate of Asbury University and holds a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband, Kevin, and their two dogs.
