Shannon Dunham

Shannon Dunham serves as Vice President, Senior Counsel and Assistant Secretary to Charter Communications with responsibility for providing legal support to all aspects of the broadband operation.  Ms. Dunham joined Charter Communications in May 1999 as a project attorney, was promoted to Manager and Senior Staff Counsel in September 1999, Director and Counsel in January 2003, and her current position in April 2004.  During her time at Charter, Ms. Dunham has worked in the areas of corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions and operations including providing general legal support to departments including marketing, programming, advertising sales, corporate development, procurement, IT and Human Resources.

Prior to joining Charter, Ms. Dunham worked as a project attorney for selected firms and companies in and around St. Louis, Missouri.  Previous to this, Ms. Dunham held certain mass communications positions including in the communications departments’ of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and Saga Communications stations, WYMG/WQQL in Springfield, Illinois. 

Ms. Dunham earned a Master of Laws in Taxation, from Washington University School of Law, holds a Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts with honors in communications from Southern Illinois University. 

Ms. Dunham is a member of the Missouri Bar, The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Association of Corporate Counsel of America and the American Bar Association.  In addition she is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications and has served on the board of the Midwest Chapter of WICT since 2004.
