Shannon Moores is a Director of Software Engineering at Comcast, leading teams responsible for WiFi diagnostics within the Xfinity App – a syndicated service with over five million monthly users across six white labeled partners. Shannon has over ten years’ experience in the cable telecommunications industry, managing mobile, web, and platform teams for Comcast’s flagship video streaming and home security applications.
As a leader, Shannon is passionate about building inclusive team cultures and mentoring junior talent. She participates in speaking engagements for employee resource groups and provides coaching for internship and leadership programs within the company. She has also served as a board member for TechWomen in the headquarters chapter.
Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a focus in Technical Writing from the University of Delaware. Outside of work, she loves spending time gardening and hiking with her two dogs, Tofu and Dr. Franknfurter. She’s also an avid horror movie fan and has performed as an extra in a sequel to one of her favorite films.
