Her work skills specialize in the areas of employment law; salary administration; employee benefits administration; recruitment; and succession and strategic planning. Taking great pride in her personal and professional success, she credits her parents for her work ethic, character and core values.

Sheila is committed to continuous improvement and lifelong learning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration; she has completed the graduate school of banking; she is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified; as well as being a certified Professional Facilitator, Certified Mediator, and Certified Career Development Facilitator Instructor.

Being relatively new to the Telecommunications industry, Sheila is very excited to learn and grow both personally and professionally by this Rising Leaders journey as well as to expand her network of peers within the industry.

Sheila is originally from the mountains of Montana; she lived in North Dakota for many years; and has now returned to the mountains with her move to Alaska three years ago. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their two spoiled pups, Bailey and Morgan.  She also looks forward to traveling to visit their kids and grandbabies; fishing, hiking, camping and spending time outdoors.

Sheila currently serves at the Senior Director of Human Resources for GCI, in Anchorage, Alaska.
