Shelly Humphreys is Vice President, Application Operations; Portal/Cloud Infrastructure/Email for the Charter Communications Network Operations organization. In this role, she is responsible for production operations of customer-facing portals (including spectrum.net, spectrumbusiness.net, TVEverywhere, Spectrum News & Sports), public cloud infrastructure, and customer email platforms & operations and a 24×7 Production Application support center.
Previously Shelly was Senior Director, Strategic Program Management focused on Merger and Integration for Charter’s Network Operations organization. Shelly has a wide breadth of experience including software development and testing, product development, product management, network implementation, vendor management, network operations and management consulting. In addition to working for Charter Shelly has worked for Fortune 500 companies MCI and EDS and provided management consulting to Canoe Ventures, Qwest and Via West. Her experience includes more than 12 years in the cable industry and 10 years working in the international arena.
Shelly holds a Master of Telecommunications degree from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Business Administration: Management Information Systems from the University of Hawai’i. She is also a graduate of EDS’ SED (Systems Engineer Development) Program.
Shelly is active in the industry and the community. She is a member of WICT and SCTE. She has served as the Director of Mentoring, Director of Sponsorship and Volunteer Coordinator for the WICT Rocky Mountain Chapter Board of Directors. In 2011 she was a recipient of the WICT Rocky Mountain Woman to Watch Award for Leadership in the Cable Industry. Shelly is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. Shelly spent 10 years serving as a board member and board mentor for Global Village Academy Collaborative Board and currently serves on the Douglas County (CO) Library Foundation Board.
