Sherisse Hawkins

Sherisse Hawkins is the VP of Navigation and Subscriber Equipment for Time Warner Cable’s Advanced Technology Group.  In this role she leads teams that develop the customer facing elements of TWC’s digital navigator product and the hardware to support these services.  One product, the digital navigator, has been deployed to over 10 million subscribers in many Time Warner divisions.
 
Before joining Time Warner Cable, Ms. Hawkins was employed by Divicom Inc as a System Architect, designing and installing advanced video networks for deployment in the United States, Europe, and South America.  Prior to her work  in video technology and cable systems, Sherisse was a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Walt Disney Imagineering Show and Ride division, responsible for the design, development, and installation of attractions in four major Disney theme parks.
 
Sherisse received a BS  degree in Engineering from the University of Arizona, and earned a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado.
 
Ms. Hawkins is the 2008 Woman of Technology, as recognized by the Rocky Mountain chapter of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT).  She has been counted among the top 50 Women in Cable Tech in  2007, 2008 and 2009 by Cableworld.

Her volunteer contributions include service on the Board of Directors of the YWCA, the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, and as Regional Membership Chair for the National Society of Black Engineers Alumni.  She is a Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Fellow (Class XIV), and the 2007 winner of the Namic Next Generation Leadership Award.  Ms. Hawkins is currently serving on the Namic National Board.
