In her role, Sonya leads a team of attorneys and legal professionals who provide legal support for core and new products and services for Cox Communications, including marketing, intellectual property, content acquisition, Cox Media, and procurement. Sonya has spent over twenty years working as a corporate attorney for Cox. Prior to Cox, she worked at Kilpatrick Stockton and served as inhouse counsel to Charter Behavioral Health Systems and GE Energy Services. Sonya attended Emory College where she earned a BA in Psychology and holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law. Sonya lives in Atlanta. Her two daughters are enrolled at Georgia State. One is working toward a Master degree in Biology and the other daughter is working on a Master of Business Administration and Health Administration. Sonya’s son is student athlete who plays football at the college level. In her free time, Sonya enjoys staying just ahead of the sweep vehicle in half marathons, yard work, and home repair.
