Chapter Presidents: Southern California Regional Manager, Distribution Field Sales A+E Television Networks
Sophie Harris is Regional Manager of Distribution Field Sales at A+E Networks, an award-winning global media company offering consumers a diverse communications environment ranging from television networks, websites and home videos/DVDs to gaming and educational software. A+E Networks is comprised of A&E Network, Lifetime, HISTORY, LMN,
BIO, H2™, HISTORY en Español™, Crime & Investigation Network, Military HISTORY™, and Lifetime Real Women.
Sophie is directly responsible for negotiating contracts, managing compliance with distributors in an assigned territory spanning 10 states. She executes marketing campaigns that extend the brand of her affiliate partners while garnering additional exposure for A+E Networks.
Prior to joining AETN, Sophie served three years as Manager of Distribution for the Game Show Network (GSN), where she was in charge of subscriber acquisitions, new launches and favorable tier repositioning. She successfully executed multi-platform campaigns for both the cable systems and local ad sales, stretching across the country. She has proven her ability to generate revenue through creativity, strategic planning and brand management.
Sophie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California Riverside. She has been an active member of WICT since 2006, in addition to serving many roles on the WICT Southern California Chapter Board in her tenure; she is also serving her second term as president of the Southern California chapter. Sophie is an alumna of the 2011 NAMIC Leadership Seminar, a member of NAMIC Southern California, and a member of CTAM. She is a proud mother of her six year-old son, Jaden.
