Director of Retention and Competition Comcast
Susan Blum is the Director of Retention and Competition for the California Region for Comcast. In this role, Susan is responsible for the Region’s retention performance by providing strategic direction and positioning, while ensuring an organizational effective partnership between Regional Marketing, Customer Care and Technical Operations. Her main focus is to spearhead and execute initiatives to achieve and exceed retention and growth goals and reduce customer churn. Susan has been with Comcast since 2003. She began her career at Comcast as the Director of Sales and Marketing in the North Bay area of San Francisco, where she drove her team achieve and exceed annual subscriber budget targets for Video, High Speed Internet and Comcast Digital Phone.
A 24 year veteran of the cable industry, Susan began her career in affiliate sales and distribution in 1987 and worked for extraordinary companies such as The Discovery Channel and A&E/The History Channel. In these positions, she was responsible for growing the distribution of these networks via securing agreements and implementing promotional programs with cable operators. Her experience ultimately led her to become the Vice President, Western Region at A&E, managing offices in both Denver and Los Angeles.
Susan relocated to San Francisco in 1999 to get married to her now husband, Mike. They happily live in Sausalito and enjoy an active life with their boys, Jacob and Eli and their Airedale, Angus.
