Tamara Gropman

Tamara Gropman serves as the Director of Business Intelligence for Comcast’s Northeast Division.  She began her career with Comcast in 2008 as the Regional Capacity Planning Manager for the Southeastern Massachusetts Region.  Within her first year, Tamara was recruited into the newly formed Business Improvement Team as a result of her proven ability in enhancing the customer experience and driving benefits to the bottom line.  In her Business Improvement role, Tamara is responsible for developing and leading cross-functional project teams using Six Sigma methodologies as well as managing new product introductions and innovations. 

Prior to joining Comcast, Tamara was a 15 year veteran of the supermarket industry.  Beginning as a participant in the management training program, she quickly progressed through roles of increasing responsibility before being accepted into the Six Sigma Black Belt Program.  During her tenure in the supermarket industry, Tamara demonstrated the ability to effectively develop and align customer service strategies with business objectives in a dynamic environment.  She gained invaluable leadership experience in the areas of team building, sales and merchandising, and financial profitability. 

Tamara graduated from Bryant University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.  She is involved in several of the industry’s professional organizations and has been a member of WICT since joining Comcast in 2008.  She is also an active member of the Spirited Speakers Toastmasters Club.  

Outside of Tamara’s responsibilities at Comcast and keeping up with her two small daughters, she is an avid sports fan, enjoys playing softball and basketball, reading, and collecting Civil War memorabilia.  Tamara currently resides in Bridgewater, Massachusetts with her husband and children.
