Director, Finance, Content Distribution & Marketing Scripps Networks Interactive
Tanya Hockett is the director of finance for the content distribution and marketing department at Scripps Networks Interactive. In her role, Tanya supports negotiations between Scripps and its partners to secure distribution agreements for the company’s portfolio of lifestyle media brands: HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel, and Great American Country. Tanya also manages the company’s affiliate marketing and incentive commitments, and is responsible for the planning and projections related to affiliate revenue.
Prior to becoming director in 2012, Tanya managed Scripps’ affiliate accounting department, overseeing a staff of four collectors tasked with managing affiliate accounts. She has also been heavily involved in the company’s wellness program and served as its Employee Action Committee secretary from 2010-11. She currently participates as a mentee in the internal Mentoring Experience program, and was selected as the finance department’s Employee of the Year in 2008. A champion of young women, Tanya volunteers with the Girl Scouts Council of the Southern Appalachians, where she encourages girls to achieve their dreams through courage and confidence.
Tanya graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1998 and passed the Certified Public Accounting Exam in 2000. She currently lives in Knoxville with her husband, Ty, and their three daughters, Emory, Mason and Peyton.
