Tara G. Nicholson is a Software Quality Manager and Release Manager for Scripps Networks Interactive. In this role, she is currently responsible for the stability and functional integrity of Home Category digital websites, including HGTV.com, DIYNetwork.com, Frontdoor.com, HGTVGardens.com, GreatAmericanCountry.com and related blogs. Combined, these sites attract 12-17 million page views per day. She orchestrates a cloud infrastructure that supports the brand’s security and traffic needs, while continuously delivering new business value and innovations.
Tara comes from a background of testing and test management with experience at several software companies over the past decade, ranging from startups to corporate environments. Her management style encourages autonomy, creativity, and innovation applied to testing approaches that thrive in the fast-paced world of software development.
She promotes the growth and development of those around her through contributing to an internship recruiting program, speaking at the local college computer science department, and a participating mentor in the Scripps ME program. She organized a large-scale training program that enabled the existing team to support fundamental shifts toward new technology. And, she shares her perspective through writing articles for industry related publications.
Tara earned her B.S. in Advertising from the University of Tennessee. When she is not working, she is a mother of two, wife, outdoor enthusiast, and applies the same vigor and curiosity to her private life as she does in the workplace. She currently resides in East Tennessee.
