Theresa Smith

A lifelong Oregonian, Theresa has 30 years experience in communications and publications with over 24 years experience in the cable industry. She has held positions at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon as a public relations assistant/graphic artist, followed by 13 years at TV HOST/TV Guide Magazine in Portland, Oregon. At TV HOST she held various production positions, overseeing the typesetting, graphic artists, editors and proofreaders as well as vendor management. As a sales and marketing rep she travelled throughout the West training and selling both weekly and monthly cable guides. In 1999 the local branch office was closed and Theresa made the jump to AT&T, which would later become AT&T Broadband and in 2003, Comcast. For the past 7 years Theresa has worked for the West Division office headquartered in Denver, CO – while maintaining her Oregon home and office in the region.

As a member of the Pacific NW WICT Board for many years, she has held the position of Treasurer, President, and Past President. She is in her third year as Chapter Advisor. Throughout her participation, the group has won Small Chapter of the Year several times, and has achieved the Pinnacle Award every year they were eligible. Her current position at Comcast entails product launches, support of the sales teams, service delivery, and operations for the business services unit, throughout the 10 states of the West Division of Comcast.

She is an active volunteer at Oregon Food Bank, a contributor to United Way, and previously headed up ELFs (Employees Lending Families Support) a holiday effort to assist families in need during the holidays with household items, gifts, food, and celebrations.

Theresa makes her home in Oregon City, Oregon – with her husband of 27 years, Brad, and her two sons, Aaron, 25 and Dylan, 19. In her spare time she enjoys entering cooking contests, gardening, travelling, the company of her DVR and jewelry making.
