Theressa Davis

Theressa Davis is the Vice President of External Affairs for Comcast in the Oregon & SW Washington region. She is responsible for managing the public relations, internal communications and community investment functions for Comcast within the region. She and her team work to create PR, community investment and internal communications programs that express and institute Comcast’s core values and achieve business goals for the market. She has 8 years of experience in the cable industry with Comcast and more than 15 years’ experience in public relations.

Prior to joining Comcast, Theressa was responsible for corporate communications at the Portland Trail Blazers, where she managed the communications around the team’s community giving, corporate and marketing initiatives, placement of players non-sports initiatives as well as a myriad of other corporate issues for the Trail Blazers and Rose Garden Arena. In addition, she was the editor for the team’s publications, Rip City Magazine and Hoop Magazine.

Before joining the Trail Blazers, Theressa worked for a Portland area advertising agency and public relations firm and interned for a US Congressman. She also owned and operated a dance studio and taught tap, jazz and ballet to both children and adults.

She currently serves on the board of the Urban League of Portland and the ambassador board for New Avenues for Youth. In addition, she is a former board member for a number of other nonprofit boards including Friends of the Children, Oregon Ready for School Initiative and Hands on Greater Portland. She’s a past-president of the Oregon Cable Telecommunications Association and a past Vice President of her local WICT chapter. She was a member of Leadership Portland and served as a leader on the alumni committee for that organization. She has won accolades for leadership, including the Comcast West Division Leadership Award and a local award for women’s leadership from Camp Fire Columbia.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon where she graduated in Journalism and Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.
