Tina Thompson

As Manager of Programming, Tina Thompson is responsible for the daily scheduling functions of programming at gmc.  She is the lead on the tracking and oversight of content usage, standards and practice of movies and series and in keeping the programming integrity of the scheduling system and all data within it maintained.  
 
Prior to joining gmc, Tina was Manager of Programming for TV Land/Nick at Nite in New York City (2004-2008), where she managed delivery of originals for air, created TV Land Production Guidelines for original and acquisition delivery specifications and lead the creation of marathon and stunt ideas successfully creating ratings growth for both networks.  Tina also established new operational protocols to increase efficiency between programming and partner departments.
 
From 2002 to 2004, Tina was the Manager of Media Planning for TV Land/Nick at Nite, where she successfully created media planning strategies across both networks which met branding and reach and frequency goals of the networks.  Tina was a key expert in scheduling difficult on-air events.
 
From 2000-2002, Tina was  Coordinator of programming for TV Land where she worked on the initial development of one of TV Land’s first originals, TV Land’s 3-part series, Inside TV Land African Americans in Television.  She also leads the interstitial scheduling of high profile events such as TV Land’s 5th Anniversary on-air event.
 
Tina served on the MTV Networks Diversity Council and Nickelodeon Diversity Team (2005); and also served as NAMIC-NY’s Communications Co-Chair three years in a row (1999-2002).
 
Most recently, Tina was a panel leader for a category being judged for the Michigan Regional Emmy Awards.
 
Tina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television and Film from The University of Maryland.
 
She lives in Powder Springs, GA with her husband and two children T.J. and Tatiana.
