Towanda Jackson

Towanda Jackson is a finance director at Scripps Networks Interactive supporting Food Network and Cooking Channel. In her role she oversees financial reporting and analysis, and facilitates and ensures internal budgetary controls. This role includes monitoring performance and financial metrics for programming, marketing and food television adjacent businesses that includes Food Network Magazine, Kohl’s, Food Network Airport Kitchens and Wine. Also, an essential part of her responsibilities are forecasting and long range planning.  She joined Scripps in 2010 as the finance manager for Cooking Channel.

 

Before joining Scripps, she was the finance manager at the NBA where she spearheaded the strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting process for League Operations and Shared Services. She also worked with the 30 independent NBA teams as the facilitator for team ticket sales revenue. Jackson has also worked for several years in finance roles at Time Inc.

 

Jackson has proven to be a highly regarded business advisor who leads creative and finance professionals to comprehend financial budget issues.  She exemplifies impressive achievements in optimizing and implementing multi-million dollar budgets by identifying cost efficiencies and new business practices.  She is proactive in pursing resources through technology to identify solutions for ongoing and finance reporting need.  In addition, she displays exceptional skills in building business relationships that influence decision making.

 

Jackson holds a MBA in Business from Dowling College and a B.S. from Long Island University.  In addition, she is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Accountants. She currently resides in Long Island, N.Y. with her husband.
