Vanessa Tremain is the Creative Director of On-air Promotion and Branding at WE tv, part of AMC Networks. In this role, she leads an internal team that creates on-air promos, off-net consumer marketing campaigns, and targeted promotion and creative assets in support of WE tv’s ad sales, affiliate sales, digital media, and PR teams. She is charged with ensuring that all promotional efforts exemplify the WE tv brand and show positioning. During her tenure, she has been responsible for strategizing on-air campaigns that have resulted in record-breaking ratings and delivery numbers for hit series such as Braxton Family Values, Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?, My Fair Wedding, and Bridezillas.
A 15 year-veteran of the company, formerly Rainbow Media, Vanessa was first brought on as a promo writer/producer and has since played an instrumental role in multiple network launches and rebrands, including AMC, Romance Classics, Wedding Central and most recently WE tv. Her career in television began at the CBS affiliate in her hometown of Lincoln, NE before moving to the east coast to launch News 12 New Jersey in 1996.
Vanessa currently serves as a Brand Ambassador for Promax/BDA and is a member of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT). She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She lives in Edison, NJ with her husband, Joe and her two children, Parker and Amelia.
