Velveny Smith

Velveny has worked in sales for over 20 years and she currently work for Sparklight/CableOne as a Residential Sales Manager. In this role, she is responsible for the management of the sales center, attainment of sales and revenue budgets and expense control. She is also the Volunteer Co-Chairperson for Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), Southwest Chapter.

Velveny has a passion for serving and helping others. She devotes her volunteer time as treasurer of the Benevolence Foundation (BF) and Family Fellowship Church Ministry (FFCM). She also participates and campaigns in the Annual Help Fight Diabetes Walk in honor of her late daughter Krystal Shantel Briscoe, to bring awareness.  In addition, Velveny is actively involved in Sparklight’s Toastmasters Chapter. She is completing her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Arizona State University.

Some of Velveny’s keen attributes are being a servant leader and investing in helping her team grow and improve. Her strengths are being able to see the big picture and developing talent that fit into the company’s vision and culture.

A native of Louisiana, Velveny currently resides in Laveen, Arizona with her husband, Ulysses, son Justin and their three dogs: Vegas, Paris and Sydney.
