Wendy Rothschell

Wendy Rothschell resides in New Jersey, and serves as the Operations Manager of Comcast’s Service Policy Assurance team. In her current role she leads a team of 200+ customer facing cyber security technicians that spans across five locations (and four countries).

She first joined Comcast in 2007 as a technical support representative, and accepted a position as a network abuse technician with her current organization in 2008. Her career progressed within the department which has provided her with years of hands on experience in network abuse incident enforcement, customer communications, and managing one of the nation’s largest abuse desk operations.

In addition to her day-to-day operational responsibilities, Wendy belongs to industry related work groups where she travels several times a year to meet with like-minded security professionals to discuss emerging cyber security threats. Her latest project involves facilitating presentation development around abuse desk best practices. The training will be shared with other providers to support their efforts in standing up a robust abuse operation to better protect their network and customers.

While most of her studies have focused on technical material, she just recently completed a certificate program with Cornell in the field of leadership psychology. She is fascinated by psychology and neuroscience and hopes to continue her studies on the human psyche.

Outside of work her passions include animal rescue and competitive axe throwing. She owns three senior miniature dachshunds, and just recently began fostering orphaned dachshunds for a non-profit rescue organization.
