Social Connections: From Strained to Strong

Wednesday, April 6 at 2p ET

We are excited to offer our first event of the year, focused around the Touchstone “Connect” – Touchstones of Leadership form the foundation for all of our organization’s initiatives. As described in this Touchstone, “The strongest communicators do more than just talk. Learn to negotiate for the best possible outcomes with both logic and compassion. The ability to do all this will make you a communicator who embodies conviction and passion – qualities a great leader needs to succeed.”

Many of us have needed to connect in different ways with the pandemic, and our relationships are our biggest asset. Join us as we dive into this topic of “Social Connections: From Strained to Strong” with AJ Adams, Founder and CEO of Brio Training and Consulting out of Denver, CO. AJ is a pioneer in her field. She is one of the first 150 people in the world to graduate with the Master’s of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) degree from University of Pennsylvania. She offers her in-depth study of the science and application of enhancing human flourishing. Over the last decade, AJ has applied her education by working with organizations such as the Merck, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, the Wharton School of Business, and other groups around the globe. AJ brings to us her experience in resilience and specializes in teaching individuals how to utilize science-based skills to enhance mindfulness and well-being. The WICT Network New England is thrilled to welcome AJ for this one hour webinar and give us some tips on social connections.

Social Connections: From Strained to Strong
Are your relationships as strong as they could be? For many of us, the answer is “no”. Strong social connections the greatest indicator of resilience in the face of stress. However, relationships are a stronger predictor of physical health than physical inactivity, obesity, and smoking. Unfortunately, during these trying times, it’s easy for our relationships – both near and far – to become strained. Now more than ever, we each need genuine social connection. In this one-hour, interactive webinar, participants will learn science-backed techniques on how to strengthen and build up their most vital relationships.
