WICT Rocky Mountain: Facilitated Discussion – Race, Systemic Justice & Protests

The past several months of events around racial injustice, the black lives matter movement, and the subsequent protests have been a lot to process. We know all of our members have had a wide range of reactions, and our chapter wants to create a safe and respectful space to talk about how these events have impacted you. We invite you to join the WICT Rocky Mountain and NAMIC communities in a dialogue about race, systemic injustice, and the protests that have been taking place in our region, nation, and world. To accommodate schedules, we will be hosting two virtual sessions with the same goal, facilitated by our Strategic Partner, Slalom Consulting. The first session will take place on August 6 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM and the second will be held on August 12 from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.

These sessions will focus on open conversation and idea sharing. Potential follow up sessions on specific topics and action planning will be available later in the year depending on interest. All are welcome to participate in this open dialogue, recognizing that we all come to the conversation with different experiences and levels of understanding. If there is a particular topic or question you’d like to bring to the dialogue, please email us.
