WICT Leadership Conference Fellowships

About the Fellowships

WICT is committed to supporting its members at every stage of their careers and is proud to offer three fellowships to attend the WICT Leadership Conference. Our largest event of the year, the Leadership Conference is among the most sought-after executive education programs for industry professionals.

The June Travis, Cheryl Greene and Lucille Larkin Fellowships, named after early WICT leaders, were created to provide opportunities for deserving candidates to experience all that the WICT Leadership Conference has to offer while alleviating the burden of travel and registration expenses.

The application deadline has passed.

June Travis Fellowship

June Travis is one of the founding members of WICT and served on its first board of directors. Travis believed strongly in WICT’s need to provide top-notch leadership development programs for women in cable, like the WICT Leadership Conference. Travis provided seed funding to launch this fellowship, exemplifying her commitment to giving back to the cable industry.

The June Travis Fellowship covers the WICT Leadership Conference registration fee and related travel and lodging expenses.

The recipient of the June Travis Fellowship is selected based, in part, on the applicant’s ability to demonstrate how the WICT Leadership Conference will help them gain new management and leadership skills to enhance their business acumen.

Cheryl Greene Fellowship

Cheryl Greene was the Vice President of Affiliate Relations for Video Jukebox Network (VJN) when she passed away in 1991 at the young age of 44. Before joining VJN, Cheryl worked for HBO and Storer Cable. The Cheryl Greene Fellowship was established to support career advancement for women and recognize how positively Cheryl influenced her friends and colleagues in the cable industry.

The Cheryl Greene Fellowship covers the WICT Leadership Conference registration fee and offers a travel stipend of $800. The recipient of the Cheryl Greene Fellowship is selected based on the applicant’s ability to most effectively demonstrate how they have helped support advancement of women in the workplace.

Lucille Larkin Fellowship

Lucille Larkin is one of the founding members of WICT and served as its first executive director. The Lucille Larkin Fellowship honors her dedication to the industry and recognizes her passion for building the foundation for women in cable.

The Lucille Larkin Fellowship covers the WICT Leadership Conference registration fee and offers a travel stipend of $800.
