2021 Women in Technology Honoree

Patricia Martin
SVP, Integration Management Office
Cox Communications

Patricia Martin is Senior Vice President of the Integration Management Office (IMO) at Cox Communications. As leader of the IMO, Patricia and her team are highly focused on pre- and post-investment and acquisition activities. Her strong cross-functional relationships that originated in Product and Technology span across Operations, Finance, and Legal – enabling her to lead the way for new acquisitions into the Cox ecosystem.

With an enhanced focus on new investment and acquisition activities, Patricia and her team are instrumental in diversifying Cox’s holdings. This role serves as a continuum of the work she began in 2015 as SVP of Service Assurance. In that role, she oversaw the Network Operations Centers (NOCs) and Service Assurance support teams for both Residential and Cox Business (CB) support models. With an enhanced focus on customer experience and process governance, Patricia streamlined the NOC to one operating model with two locations. Additionally, she transitioned the NOC from incident management to event management with support encompassing Voice, Video, Data, IT, Backbone, and IP services. With that change, she enabled resources through enhanced tooling to monitor and respond to 100 percent of events in the Cox Communications network.

Patricia has continued to manage critical and complex processes while working collaboratively to deliver solutions that positively impact customers across the enterprise. She has done this by leading several key initiatives at Cox, including creating the first national team of virtual construction estimators, Cox’s first-generation Video Back Office National COE, as well as NOC as a Service offerings. With the formulation of the IMO, Patricia continues to add value to Cox through business acquisitions and integrations that align with the company’s growth trajectory.

Shortly after joining Cox in 2005 as a Senior Manager, Patricia became the Director of Network Services for Oklahoma in 2007. In that role, she held statewide responsibilities for residential and commercial network and construction activities. Additionally, she synchronized national teams and subject matter experts toward improving customers’ experience while mitigating capital and cost expenditures.

Patricia is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and the WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. In 2019 Patricia was a NAMIC Luminary recipient and, in 2017, received the Southeast Catalyst Award from The WICT Network. Cablefax has also recognized Patricia as one of the most powerful women in cable for several years and in 2015 was recognized by Multichannel News as an outstanding 40 under 40 leader.
