Communicating comfortably and effectively isn't as easy as it sounds. Particularly if you have bad news to share with a co-worker or client or need to have a conversation about a sensitive topic. It can even be uncomfortable to talk about good news when it comes to highlighting your own accomplishments.

In this interactive program you will learn:

  • The biggest roadblock to understanding and agreement
  • How to give constructive feedback
  • How to highlight your achievements without sounding obnoxious
  • The VOICES method, so you can comfortably and confidently share "bad" news
  • Tips to take the frustration out of email communication

This event is free for WICT Members and Non-Members (Men & Women).  Hope to see you there!

WICT Midwest | Own Your Feedback| April 25

We’re frequently presented with guidance on how to give feedback effectively, but throughout our careers, little is said about the other side of the equation—how to receive it. Timely and relevant, this event will serve as a valuable learning opportunity with tangible takeaways that can immediately be implemented.

“It doesn’t matter how much authority or power a feedback giver has; the receivers are in control of what they do and don’t let in, how they make sense of what they’re hearing, and whether they choose to change.” – Douglas Stone

As a result of this event, you’ll get valuable insights to:

  • Understand the types of feedback you are receiving and how to pursue the type you need
  • Effectively navigate your next performance review
  • Understand your triggers around feedback and how to avoid them
  • Get the most from a 360-degree evaluation
  • Be Fearless in the face of criticism
  • Accept compliments with poise

Own Your Feedback

Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM CDT
