Claire Nickel is a dedicated associate who uses her passion for constant improvement and organization to create efficiencies and frameworks that help others succeed. She has been in the cable industry and worked for Cable One, since 2005. Over the years she has held various positions from front-line technical support, to the Corporate Phone Product, and IP Network Support teams. In her current role as Change Control Analyst Claire has developed a comprehensive and shared change process for all 3 triple-play products- Video, Voice, and Data. In this role she ensures that changes run smoothly through daily oversight, accurate and accessible documentation, training, and application improvements as needed. This has helped to minimize customer and associate impact due to unscheduled outages or conflicting changes for various projects or initiatives. Claire graduated with a degree in International Development Studies, is a double CCNA (Route and Switch, Service Provider), has her JNCIA, and is certified in Lean IT and ITIL Service Transitions. She is a member of NCTI and SCTE, and has been a member of WICT since 2008. She started small with the occasional lunch or networking event until finally joining the Southwest Chapter board in 2017. This ongoing involvement has helped her to develop her networking and organizational skills while cementing her desire to help other women succeed and flourish in their respective roles. Claire lives in Phoenix with her husband and son. She most enjoys exploring- ideas, people, and places (around the city, state, country and world).
