#2020WLC Kicks Off Cable’s Diversity Week

Washington, DC – Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today proudly announced that its annual Leadership Conference, which kicked off cable’s Diversity Week 2020, enjoyed record attendance during its first-ever virtual program. More than 860 industry professionals registered for the conference, surpassing the previous record attained in 2018, when 818 people were in attendance.

The WICT Leadership Conference, one of the industry’s preeminent leadership development opportunities, was held Monday, October 5, and Tuesday, October 6, with the theme The Power of Resilience. The virtual production included live and pre-recorded segments featuring a diverse mix of top talent, key industry executives, premier authors, academics and thought leaders in a program developed specifically to enhance attendees’ leadership skills and business acumen. For a full list of speakers and sessions, visit wictconference.org. The conference content will also be available on-demand for those that weren’t able to attend earlier this week.

“I want to thank our 2020 WICT Conference Planning Committee, chaired by Global Board Chair, Sandy Howe, for helping us convene such a powerful and inspirational program. Our attendance uptick makes it clear that industry professionals are yearning for rich content and new ideas as they prepare to lead the workplace of the future,” said WICT President & CEO, Maria E. Brennan, CAE.
