Washington, DC – Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that Dr. Raychelle Burks, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, St. Edward’s University, will deliver an opening keynote address at the WICT Tech It Out Conference on October 19, 2017. The 2017 Tech It Out Conference will be held inside of SCTE•ISBE’s Cable-Tec Expo, taking place in Denver.
The program will also feature a panel of experts who will explore the intersection between leadership and technology. Moderated by Jana Henthorn, President & CEO, The Cable Center, panelists include Tonya Adams, Executive Director Business Services Operations, Comcast; Tal Laufer, Director, Product Management, ARRIS; and Deborah Picciolo, SVP, Operations, West Region, Charter Communications.

Dr. Raychelle Burks is a popular science communicator, appearing on the Science Channel’s Outrageous Acts of Science, ACS Reactions videos, and at genre conventions, as well as writing a monthly forensic science column for the Royal Society of Chemistry.
In addition to Tech It Out, WICT, SCTE and Cablefax will recognize Charter’s Deborah Picciolo, SVP, Operations, West Region, as the 2017 Women in Technology Award honoree. The award will be presented during the Cable-Tec luncheon on October 18.
