For Immediate Release:
Washington, DC - Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) announced today that Iris Bohnet, Ph.D., will deliver keynote remarks during the 2016 WICT Signature Luncheon, to be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, MA. The event will take place on Monday, May 16, in conjunction with NCTA’s Internet and Television Expo (INTX).
Dr. Bohnet, Professor of Public Policy, is a behavioral economist at the Harvard Kennedy School, combining insights from economics and psychology to improve decision-making in organizations and society, often with a gender or cross-cultural perspective. Professor Bohnet is the director of its Women and Public Policy Program and the faculty chair of the executive program "Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century" for the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders. Her latest book, What Works: Gender Equality by Design, explores the tools needed to move the needle in classrooms and boardrooms, and in hiring and promotion, to benefit businesses, governments — and the lives of millions.
"We are delighted to welcome Iris Bohnet to the WICT Signature Luncheon," said Maria E. Brennan, CAE, WICT’s President and CEO. "As we honor the exceptional work our industry does in support of gender diversity and inclusion, we look forward to learning more about Dr. Bohnet’s latest research on gender bias as one of the world’s foremost experts on the intersection of gender, psychology, and leadership," stated Brennan.
