Washington, DC – Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) announced today that its first-ever public service announcement (PSA) received $8.7 million in donated airplay from its partner companies, exceeding their initial commitment by $2.5 million.

Created to honor WICT’s 40th anniversary, WICT teamed up with the nation’s largest broadband and entertainment providers to launch the #LeadWithMore PSA and associated campaign. Designed to celebrate careers in the media and technology industries for women, the PSA highlights the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. WICT unveiled the clip and its #LeadWithMore campaign at the National Press Club in Washington, DC in March.

“I can’t think of a better way to cap off WICT’s milestone 40th anniversary. We thank all of our partners for their generous support,” said Maria Brennan, CAE, WICT President & CEO. “We particularly recognize our friends at Cox for their tremendous expertise in producing the PSA.
