​The 2014 Betsy Magness Graduate Institute (BMGI), took place November 6-7 in Baltimore, Maryland. BMGI provided attendees, who are all alumnae of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (BMLI), with two days of focused instruction and discussion on key management challenges and opportunities facing today's cable leaders.​​

 

The program featured case studies and research on suc​cessfully leading change. Attendees explored strategies and tactics to enable them to successfully navigate their teams through times of disruption. The roundtable discussions on day two highlighted the personal experiences of cable leaders. These leaders included:

During this year's​ program, attendees gained a strategic overview of change leadership and learned more about personal change styles. CCL's Sara King, together with subject matter experts Chris Musselwhite and Tammie Plouffe, shared evidence-based learnings built on 15 years of research.

 

This year, BMLI celebrated 20 years of preparing senior-level women to take on significant leadership responsibilities. The anniversary was marked with a special reception on the evening prior to BMGI in celebration of the program's over 800 graduates. The two current BMLI classes, 30 and 31, were in attendance at the reception.​
